A wise man is full of strength, and a man of knowledge enhances his might Proverbs 24:5 (English Standard Version)
Today, President Barack Obama had a private swearing-in ceremony at the White House (image above*) to kick off his second term as President of the United States. Tomorrow will the Inauguration with its festivities, etc. This is a historic first: an African-American having his second term as President.
Love or hate the man, Mr. Obama is the President of the United States and still earns our respect. As he starts his second term in office, President Obama will have challenges he will need the proverbial wisdom of Solomon to tackle. The President will have: economic problems here at home-especially with the budget; gun control issues; immigration; Obamacare; how to transition our people out of Afghanistan by 2014; ecological issues; foreign issues-especially in the Middle East (and Africa) that will pull on his foreign policy, and other issues as well.
It’s my hope (and you can say prayer) that as President Obama will use wisdom in these next four years. It will be this term that will either be a crowning cap to his presidency, or a screw-up for sure. As of today, the clock’s started ticking for the President. I hope and pray that whatever good came out of the first term, our President will carry over and make even better in this new term. And whatever mess ups he had in his first term, I hope the President will learn from them and make him a better leader.
Let’s pray President Obama uses his time wisely. Congratulations and God Bless, Mr. President.
Peace.
